[The Netherlands] Tank inspections were conducted and it was observed that settlement was beyond the requirements of the API653 and EEMUA159 publications.
Verantio was requested to carry out an assessment by means of a detailed stress analysis to identify whether continue services was possible for a short period (2 years). A dynamic 3D FEA analysis showed that this was possible under some restrictions which was acceptable for the tank owner. The tank was declared fit-for-service.
